School Field Trips

Plan your next educational field trip at Cave of the Winds! We provide a wide variety of interactive cave activities for students from preschool through high school. Availability is limited – make your reservations at least two weeks in advance to secure your preferred date!

NOTICE: There will be a required minimum deposit of $10 to be paid at the time you book your field trip. Your deposit will be applied toward your grand total due for the reservation. Any remaining balance will be due upon your arrival at our Ticket Office. Sorry no Business, School, or personal checks can be accepted.


Field Trips For Grades 5th - 8th

Geology 101 Tour (Nov-Feb Discount)

Specially designed to challenge middle school students, this field experience features an extended cave tour and a geology lab. Students will learn about Colorado Geology in our cave classroom before investigating cave formations during a tour of Cave of the Winds. Students will need to bring a flashlight for the highlight of the program in the Manitou Grand Caverns, the location of some of the most active passages of the cave. Expect clothing to get slightly dirty.

A minimum of 15 people total are required to reserve this activity.

$13 per Chaperone and $8 per Student
You will receive 1 free chaperone with every 15 paid students for tour only.
